Rope Rescue: Awareness Level & Low-to-Steep Operations – (NFPA 1006 Chapter 5.1 & NFPA 2500)
A prerequisite for Rope Rescue Operations, this course introduces students to the capabilities and limitations of their equipment in a classroom environment, followed by hands-on steep angle rescue scenarios.
All of our Rope Rescue courses are led by career firefighters with real-world experience to ensure quality and knowledgeable instruction.
Rope Rescue Awareness Level and Low to Steep Operations is a foundational rope rescue course for those who are working in the industry, as a part of Search and Rescue, as a member of a career fire department, or in any other environment where rope rescue may need to be performed.
This Awareness level course is a prerequisite for our Operations Level course. It allows an individual to recognize the need for and to take part in a rescue as a supporting member without the knowledge to set up complex rope systems.
