WHAT WE DO
Whether you are considering applying to the fire department or looking to update your company’s CPR/AED certification, Sea to Sky Safety Training Academy delivers the essential course material and in-person training. We specialize in the professional development of firefighters, medical first responders, and construction personnel.
Our courses meet the standards set out by Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Workplace First Aid (WFA) standards, and the National Occupancy Competency Profiles (NOCP) for Emergency Medical Responders (EMR). Individual classes or bundled career-building courses range from one day to 10 days in length.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Sea to Sky Safety Academy caters to individuals seeking the foundational training to become a firefighter, paramedic, or a search and rescue first responder.
Our team also assists individuals and companies with updating their First Aid/CPR/AED certifications by reviewing the core knowledge and ensuring full compliance with all protocols.
Sea to Sky Safety Academy puts you on the fast track to proper licensing of your skills. We provide hands-on training for some of the most challenging and dangerous occupations out there. From technical rope rescues for transporting injured parties to hoisting heavy loads on construction sites, our specialized training is designed to save lives, keep you safe, and protect your professional reputation.
OUR FACILITY
Courses are taught on location at the Lions Bay Fire Rescue Training Grounds overlooking Howe Sound. In addition to your classroom work, you’ll receive hands-on training for various medical emergency scenarios, including motor vehicle accidents and technical rescues involving steep locals, high angles, and forest interfaces. We are set up for controlled live burns to practice various methods of fire attack.
You’ll be rubbing shoulders with working firefighters and paramedics while on sight at our training centre. The building is located approximately 10 km north of West Vancouver.
