Detailer Course

Here in BC, almost all large developers are in need of detailers/deficiency carpenters. Once the trades have gone through the house, there are always items left to complete before the home is truly ready to hand over to the homeowner.

Sea to sky training academy has created the first foundational detailing course in Canada.

Delivery Method: In-Class

You will learn how to completely detail a home from top to bottom:

• • Taught the “deficiency process” which is a step-by-step guide on how to detail a home.
  • Understand what tools are required for the job
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of all standard materials used to detail a home and their specific applications.
  • Learn how to perform a “function check” of appliances/window blinds/hardware etc.
  • Learn how, what and when to communicate with site management
  • Understand the typical process of homeowner orientations and how to prepare a home for key handover.

This course will provide educational materials as well as hands-on step-by-step field repairs.
